FTC 4345 Peninsula League Tournament Meet 2
Join us to cheer on FTC 4345 at their second meet of the season.
SCOUTreach
We’re so excited for our first SCOUTreach of the year where we teach a group of up to thirty students about coding and building a robot through fun interactive activities. Interested in participating in a future SCOUTreach event? Fill out this interest form!
Santa Clara Library Expo
Come check out our booth at the Santa Clara Library Expo graciously hosted by AstroBruins FTC 19819.
Fall Community Night
Join us at our annual Fall Community Night potluck where friends and family are invited to see what we’ve accomplished this semester. Our technical teams FTC 4345, FRC 840 and MegoloDON ROV will showcase their robots. The business teams, Marketing, Finance and Outreach will give you glimpse into what happens behind the scenes. We hope to see you there!
George Hall Expo
Catch us at George Hall Elementary’s science fair where we’ll be showcasing our robot and building KiwiCo kits. Hope to see you there!
Face Shield Drive
We made homemade face shields and donated them to local clinics in need.
We wanted to optimize the resources we had to do some good in an unprecedented time!
Night of Robotics
In collaboration with Gunn High School and BrainVyne, a local lego camp, we organized Night of Robots, an event where we gave elementary school students the opportunity to visit our shop.
We wanted to help young kids get introduced to STEM and robotics, build our connection to students and parents, and get students excited to come to Aragon.
Electronics Drive
We collaborated with Green Citizen, a local organization dedicated to proper disposal of electronic waste, to have students at our school donate old electronics to us so we could dispose of them in an environmentally friendly method.
Additionally, through Green Citizen we got a lot of inkjet printers to use in our printer dissection workshops, such as the ones we host with WRRF.
We want to do our part in protecting the earth, and we know that improper disposal of electronic materials can cause major damage.
Drone Team Mentoring
We coached Borel's 8th Grade drone team; helped them brainstorm and solve some mechanical & programming problems so they would be prepared to enter Nueva High's drone competition
Use our knowledge to support a less experienced competition STEM team and inspire future Aragon students to join our team.
Library Python Class
We hosted a class on programming every Sunday for 6 weeks, teaching basic Python programming concepts to a group of young students.
We wanted to have a program solely dedicated to teaching coding fundamentals to the young students within our communities, as most of our workshops focus on design or a combination of design and programming.
FLL Workshops
This year, we are launching a new workshop series to teach local middle school students the basics of First Lego League design and programming skills. We are using Spike Prime kits, coupled with an official FIRST-provided curriculum to host these workshops, taking the students through the process of building a functional and competitive FLL robot, so they can start their own team in future seasons!
Coyote Grange Maker Faire
For our second exposition of the new school year, we are bringing our robots, activities, and spirit to the Coyote Grange Maker Faire, a local event for students and adults to showcase their crafts and technology projects. We'll have our KiwiCo activities for the students to interact with and our robots for the public to drive around!
SCOUTreach
We are hosting our first SCOUTreach workshop of the new school year in less than a month! SCOUTreach is our self-developed, self-run initiative which we have been hosting since 2019, to introduce young students to STEM in interactive two-hour sessions. Students learn the basics of programming algorithms and the engineering design process, getting hands-on experience coding and brainstorming their own robot design!
EmpowerHer Showdown
We are hosting the first all-girls FRC offseason competition in California, with 12 teams from across the Bay Area. During competitions, we noticed how the drive team and pit crew members tend to be male, and wanted to give opportunities for female and non-binary team members to be involved in the competition roles. This event will be open to the public, and feature qualifying matches in the morning, a Women in STEM panel after lunch, and finish with elimination matches in the evening!
Robots on Ice
We have held a booth at the 2nd and 3rd Annual Robots on ICE, where we showcased our FRC and FTC competition bots, and had our cape station open for young children to create their own souvenirs. We were able to connect with people beyond our local San Mateo community as well as other robotics teams and clubs.

Borel Science Night
We hosted two 30 minute workshops for groups of about middle schoolers where they explored the basics of engineering using wooden scallops and playing cards by working in teams to build the highest card tower. We also talked about our team and demoed our robot. We wanted to connect with the younger population of our community and encourage potential future Aragon students to join our team.

OpenSauce
We held a booth to showcase our FTC and MATE ROV robots, share our outreach initiatives, and interact with other STEM creators from around the world.
We interacted with people beyond our local community, other robotics teams, and famous creators like Mark Rober, Michael Reeves, Allen Pan, Hacksmith, and Backyard Scientist, greatly inspiring our own team members.
San Mateo County Fair Exposition
We have held a booth at the fair for the past 13 years where we present our team in the FIRST area, talk to attendees about our robot and team and give out marketing materials. Our goal is to expose younger kids to STEM and robotics, encourages people to join our team and go to Aragon, helps connect with the Bay Area community.

Hillsdale Mall Exposition
We hold a booth in a common area in the mall where we present our competition robots. We also include a fun activity for younger children, including robot mask and cape making. We want to connect with our local community and give children the opportunity to interact with our robot. We are also able to obtain connections with the parents and adults for future workshops and events.
